在設計之前應用了兩種設計方法: 包覆法與展開法。展開法運用在地景,把樹脂塗在一個物件上,剖開取出映射圖樣,豐富的圖樣提供很好的地景基礎。另一方面,試著拿一個物件包覆成一個體塊作為建築形體的基礎。這是一個定義"混雜整體"的過程。最終,透過拉伸,擠壓,推擠數位幾何形體,在虛擬的數位平台探索空間的品質。

Before I design the landscape and building components, I tried to experiment two techniques: folding and unfolding. Unfolded technique is applied on Landscape by smearing latex onto it. When I got the flattened latex, it reflected textures onto it. These rich textures gave me a guideline to develop the landscape. On the other hand, I tried to wrap a piece of sheet and formed it as a massing and then I could get the basic shapes for me to study architectural massing. This is the process that I found some ways to define what is “Mess Ensemble”. Finally, I explored several pieces of elements to apply the logic of stretching, squeezing or pushing the geometries in digital models, and investigated the possibilities of spatial qualities in virtual platform.
