這個畢業論文著重於中國快速發展城市中城中村議題，研究此議題的基地位於中國南方的廣州，有數個規模不一的城中村遍布廣州大都會區，老城區更新，城市與村的關係成了重要的都市議題，在村與市兩者之間的基礎設施上來說，存在著明顯的差異。在此提案中，我試圖用"復原"的出發點來，並非使用"拆除重建"的設計概念，用一個比較緩和的手法來銜接舊城區與新都市區。此時我得面對幾個部分的議題:基礎設施，居住，交通，交易買賣。在我的認知內，城中村不應當是發展中城市的犧牲者，在充滿活力的城市內，其人本的尺度，歷史建築具有其獨特性。

This thesis project focused on urban village amidst in a rapid city in China. The research site is in T Guangzhou, southern China. Several dozen of existing “villages-amidst-in-the city” scattered through out Guangzhou metropolitan area. The renew of elder communities and the relationship between city and village regions were the main urban issue. There's an obvious gap of infrastructure systems between village and the city. First, I tried to “rehabilitate” instead of “total reconstruction” this community in a mild way and merged into the original city in this proposal. I faced several issues include that sections: infrastructures, residences, transportation, and trading. In my opinion, “urban village” shouldn't be the victim of the rapid city. Its human scale, historical buildings, and contexts are unique to the dynamic city.
